Oxford Casino Rewards

The Oxford Casino Maine offers the Oxford Casino Rewards program for recurring customers. The Oxford Rewards program is called The Players’ Club. You will get an Oxford Rewards card if and when you join.

The Oxford Rewards program has three tiers of membership. As you play more games and spend more money, you will move into different levels of membership. The better the level, the better your prizes, and rewards.

The club benefits are:

  • You can earn slot points to pay for food and beverage purchases

  • There are weekly promotion entries
  • Plus, Oxford Reward Tier evaluations are done quarterly

If you plan on going to the Oxford Hotel and Casino in Maine regularly, it makes sense to join their rewards program. That way, you can earn points toward better rewards while you play your favorite slot games. It is not explained whether playing Oxford Casino Poker will also earn you rewards points.

Oxford Casino Sports Betting

At this time, Maine has regulated sports betting allowed in the state. It was a surprise when the legislation was passed in the final two days of the legislative session. Maine now has the lowest licensing fee of any state with multiple sports betting operators.

A compromise was offered by the legislature that gave a higher tax rate to online and mobile wagering at sixteen percent. The retail tax rate is ten percent for comparison. This is because mobile and online operators are not paying property taxes.

That means that land-based casinos can apply for licenses to open on-site sports betting locations. It is expected that the Oxford Casino will want to open a sportsbook in a timely fashion. However, the Oxford Hotel and Casino has not yet announced plans to construct and open a retail on-site sportsbook.

Oxford Casino Horse Racing

At this time, the Oxford Hotel and Casino in Maine does not offer sports betting. The Oxford Hotel and Casino also does not have a horse racing track. So, customers are not yet able to bet on horse races at the Oxford Hotel and Casino.

But, if they apply for a sports betting license and are approved, that could change. While the Oxford Hotel and Casino has not announced plans to build a horse racing track, sports betting could allow for horse racing bets. So, if a retail sportsbook opens at the Oxford Casino, customers could potentially bet on horse races there.

Currently, you can bet on horses races at the Scarborough Downs Racetrack and at off-track betting venues in Maine.

The Oxford Casino Maine Conclusion

The Oxford Hotel and Casino in Maine is one of the newly expanded hotels and casinos in New England. Customers from South Maine will be happy to have such a well-stocked casino so close to them. And, because of previous expansions, we can expect the hotel and casino to keep expanding and adding new features.

Hopefully, the Oxford Hotel and Casino will take advantage of the newly legal sports betting legislation that was approved in the state. Then, the hotel and casino would truly offer all the legal wagering a fan could want. But, the amount of casino games offered is still quite competitive.

So, overall, the Oxford Hotel and Casino should keep customers happy and returning. But, if and when they add a sportsbook, they may become one of the best legal betting destinations in New England. Is a Maine online casino also on the agenda?
